The unpleasant incident that occurred in the Tashkent metro caused serious discussion among citizens. At the “Novza” station, a 21-year-old young man who engaged in sexual-nature harassment toward an unfamiliar woman was subjected to administrative punishment by court decision.
According to the information, on November 12 he touched the back part of the woman’s body with his sexual organ, thereby infringing upon her honor and dignity. The victim also confirmed this act and stated that legal measures needed to be taken.
At the court session held on November 24, the young man admitted his guilt and expressed remorse. The court found him guilty based on Article 41-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay 309 thousand soums as custody-related expenses.
