95 iPhones found on passenger from Dubai

At Tashkent International Airport, dozens of expensive smartphones were discovered in the hand luggage of a passenger returning from Dubai. According to the Customs Committee, operational officers stopped the citizen during an operation aimed at combating the illegal import of mobile devices.

During the inspection, 8 units of “iPhone 17 Pro” and 87 units of “iPhone 17 Pro Max”, a total of 95 devices being brought in without any documents, were found inside his bag. The phones were temporarily seized as items of violation.

According to preliminary estimates, the total value of these gadgets exceeds 1.9 billion soms. Customs authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
