An unpleasant incident occurred in a rented house in the Shaykhontohur district of Tashkent. According to the female tenant, the landlord came under the pretext of checking the meter and made inappropriate and rude suggestions toward her.
According to the information, the 22-year-old woman, who was at home alone, became frightened by the landlord’s behavior, screamed, and took a knife to protect herself. Neighbors, hearing the noise, immediately came in to help.
In court, the man admitted that he entered the house to check the meter readings, but denied any harassment toward the woman. He also asked for a lighter punishment.
The case was reviewed, and the court found the landlord guilty under Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code and sentenced him to 5 days of administrative arrest.
