Child arrested for not paying child support to father

In Samarkand, measures were taken against a child who failed to fulfill the obligation of paying alimony to his parents. According to the court ruling of the Okdarya district, E.K. was required to pay alimony in the amount of 50% of his monthly income to his father. However, since the child refused to pay alimony, on December 1, the Samarkand district court sentenced him to 15 days of administrative arrest.

According to Article 109 of the Family Code, adult children are obliged to provide for and care for their parents.
