Illegal import of 1 kg of gold detected in Namangan

In Namangan, during an operation conducted by the State Security Service, Border Troops, and the National Security Service officers, more than 1 kilogram of gold illegally imported from Kyrgyzstan was confiscated. The total value of the gold is 1.1 billion som.

In the pre-investigation, it was revealed that a resident of the Kosonsoy district, born in 1996, crossed the state border illegally with the help of his uncle and brought 1 kilogram 168 grams of gold from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan.

During the operation, these individuals were detained while attempting to deliver the gold to another relative. An criminal case has been initiated against them, and investigative actions are ongoing.
