In the Namangan region, a road traffic incident that endangered the lives of children caused strong public outrage. On December 15, videos spread on social networks showing a Damas vehicle failing to yield to children crossing at a pedestrian crossing.
Following this incident, the regional Road Traffic Safety Department conducted an оператив investigation. As a result, the Damas vehicle was placed in a penalty parking area, and an administrative report was drawn up against the driver in accordance with the law.
During the inspection, it was also established that the dangerous situation was caused by a Spark vehicle that had been stopped in violation of the rules in front of the pedestrian crossing. In particular, the Spark significantly obstructed the Damas driver’s full view of the road.
Both drivers expressed regret over the incident and promised to strictly follow traffic rules in the future.
In accordance with the law, administrative liability measures were applied to the Damas driver under Article 128 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and to the Spark driver under Article 128-6.
A momentary lack of attention on the road can lead to serious consequences. Therefore, drivers are required to exercise maximum vigilance, especially at pedestrian crossings.
