Metro train doors malfunction due to passenger traffic

An incident posing a threat to passenger safety was recorded in the Tashkent Metro. On December 16, on a train scheduled to travel from Mustaqillik Maydoni station toward Pakhtakor station, one of the passengers attempted to force open the carriage doors while they were closing.

As a result, the door protection mechanism was damaged. Although the train driver resolved the issue on the spot, the malfunction reoccurred shortly afterward. Consequently, in accordance with safety regulations, passengers were disembarked at the station and the train was sent to the depot.

The press service of the Tashkent Metro urged passengers to strictly follow metro rules, emphasizing that such careless actions cause not only damage to property but also pose a serious threat to human life.
