A young man who wrote obscene messages to his neighbor via Telegram was sentenced to 5 days in prison
In the Sokh district of the Fergana region, a young man who sent inappropriate and obscene messages to a neighboring woman via Telegram was placed under administrative arrest. According to court documents, the incident caused serious public discussion.
It was reported that on December 26, 2025, at 16:20, a young man identified as Kh.D., born in 2006, sent messages containing sexual content and violating moral norms to his neighbor A.Kh., who resides in the “Rovon” neighborhood, via the Telegram messenger. In his messages, he insulted and sexually harassed the woman in an indecent manner.
Dissatisfied with the situation, A.Kh. filed an official complaint with law enforcement authorities and requested legal action. Based on this complaint, the case was referred to court.
On January 5 of the current year, the case was reviewed by the Sokh District Criminal Court. During the hearing, Kh.D. fully admitted his guilt. The court found him guilty of committing an offense under Part 1 of Article 41-1 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility (sexual harassment).
As a result, the court sentenced the young man to administrative arrest for a period of five days. Officials once again reminded that immoral actions committed via the internet also entail legal liability and urged citizens to comply with the law and moral standards.
