In Samarkand, a court decision was issued against a person who insulted the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)

On December 30, 2025, a citizen born in 2004 was found to have distributed material promoting religious hatred in the comments section of several Telegram channels through his own profile on the "Telegram" social network. In this material, insulting words were said to our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

During the pre-investigation check, the citizen's actions were investigated within the framework of the law, and an administrative report was drawn up against him on the basis of Article 1843 of the Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility. This information was sent to the court.

According to the decision of the Pakhtachi district court dated January 9, 2026, the citizen's actions were found to be related to the promotion of religious hatred in accordance with Article 1843 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, and he was sentenced to 12 days of administrative arrest.

Recall that the dissemination, maintenance, or preparation of national, racial, ethnic, or religious hatred may be punishable by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
