Law enforcement agencies have dismantled a criminal group in Namangan city that attempted to establish disorderly 'street laws' based on extortion and violence. According to official information, the organizer of this group was a resident of Namangan city, who had previously been convicted several times.
The information service of the Namangan regional police department noted that despite having been punished for previous crimes related to fraud and hooliganism, the individual did not learn his lesson and once again engaged in illegal activities.
It has been reported that he gathered several individuals inclined towards crime and conspired with them to carry out acts of extortion and hooliganism within the city. The group members attempted to resolve financial disputes and disagreements among citizens through 'forceful solutions' — using threats, pressure, and violence.
The apprehended individual is said to be 28-year-old Bahriddin Zayniddinovich Nasriddinov. He had previously been convicted under Article 277, Part 1, Article 168, Part 4, Article 228, Part 3, and Article 277, Part 2 of the Criminal Code.
According to investigation materials, Bahriddin Nasriddinov, along with his criminal associates, summoned an acquaintance living in Namangan city to the Barkamol Avlod neighborhood. They accused him of not participating in 'street solutions' ('razborka'), not coming when called, and other pretexts, and inflicted bodily harm using both fists and a sharp object.
According to the conclusion of the Namangan regional forensic medical examination, the victim was found to have cuts and stab wounds on the left shoulder.
The official report states that this individual, who aspired to 'leadership' and introduced himself with the nickname 'Eshon', allegedly pressured citizens under the guise of 'resolving street matters'. He was detained in a procedural manner, and a criminal case was initiated against him under Article 277, Part 3 of the Criminal Code by the investigation department of the Namangan city police department. Preliminary investigation actions are currently underway.
The police have urged citizens who have suffered from this individual to report to the Namangan regional police department, local police agencies, or call the short number 102. It was also emphasized that the information of those who report will be kept confidential.
In such situations, the most important thing is not to endanger oneself by thinking 'I'll handle it myself'. The law must prevail, not force.
