Drug laboratory exposed in Andijan: Alpha PVP and Tropicamide found

Another operational event was held in the Andijan region as part of the fight against drug trafficking. The Regional Department of the State Security Service, together with the Customs and Internal Affairs bodies, carried out special measures in the Asaka district.
During the operation, 1 unidentified liquid in an unnamed spray container and 2 unnamed medicines were found near a local citizen born in 1988 and temporarily confiscated. Law enforcement agencies continued operational work to investigate the situation more thoroughly.
During the subsequent inspection of the apartment belonging to this person in the Khojaabad district, it was revealed that a drug laboratory had been established at this address. Unnamed liquids in spray bottles, white powdered substances, potent drugs, as well as various equipment used in the production of narcotic substances, were seized from the apartment as material evidence.
According to the expert conclusion, the identified substances were confirmed to be synthetic drugs "Alpha-PVP" and "Tropicamide."
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against this person under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure of "detention" has been applied to him. The investigation is ongoing.
Such cases remind us once again: synthetic drugs are an extremely dangerous threat to society. Law enforcement agencies are consistently continuing their work to strengthen measures against illicit trafficking and to put an early stop to such schemes.
