Samarkand Forum on Drug Threat: Innovative Solutions Discussed
An international forum in Samarkand addressed transnational drug threats, showcasing modern technologies and innovative solutions for combating organized crime. In the city of Samarkand, a demonstration of modern technologies and a special exhibition were organized as part of a prestigious international forum on the topic of 'Combating transnational drug threats to ensure public health and safety.' Advanced digital solutions, technical means, and special equipment used in the fight against organized drug crime were presented to the general public.
Saida Mirziyoyeva, familiarizing herself with the exhibition, specifically emphasized the crucial role of innovation in combating drug trafficking, dangerous cargo, and transnational crime. In her opinion, modern technologies expand the ability to detect threats in advance and respond to them quickly.
Within the framework of the forum, Uzbekistan put forward an important initiative. It proposed the creation of a unified artificial intelligence platform for participating countries, enabling real-time monitoring of drug trafficking and transnational crime. This system is expected to accelerate information exchange and elevate international cooperation to a new level.

According to him, the circulation of narcotic substances today is not just a criminal problem but also a factor seriously impacting the global economic and security system. This is because the drug business forms a hidden economy worth billions of dollars, becoming a source of funding for organized crime and terrorism.
It was reported that a large portion of criminal proceeds is being 'laundered' through digital assets and offshore financial systems. This further complicates the fight against it.
The President emphasized that the most effective way to combat the drug business is to destroy its financial sources. 'If we cut off its financial arteries, this vice will disappear on its own,' the head of state said.
