School principal in Termez sentenced to 4 years for bribery
A school principal in Termiz district, Surkhandarya region, has been sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty of bribery. The official had demanded 2 million Uzbek soums to assist in reinstating a dismissed employee. He was convicted under Article 210 of the Criminal Code for accepting the bribe, which included an initial payment and subsequent withdrawal of funds from a bank card. The court also prohibited him from holding leadership positions for two years.

According to reports, the principal demanded 2 million soum in exchange for assisting in the reinstatement of a previously dismissed employee.
It was established that the principal initially received 1 million soum and a bank payment card, after which the remaining funds on the card were also withdrawn as cash.
Under the court's verdict, the defendant was found guilty under Article 210 of the Criminal Code (Bribery).
In addition to the prison sentence, the individual has been deprived of the right to hold leadership positions for a period of two years.
