FIFA rankings: Uzbekistan overtakes Iraq to become sixth-ranked Asian team

The Uzbekistan national team defeated the Kyrgyz Republic 1-0 at home in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

This victory brought Timur Kapadze's team 3 points in the tournament table and 7 points in the FIFA ranking. As a result, the "white wolves" left Iraq behind and rose one place to 57th place.

Iraq, on the other hand, lost almost 7 points in the FIFA ranking due to a draw with Kuwait, which is located below them, and dropped two places to 58th place.
