Arsenal or Real Madrid – Who holds the upper hand?

In the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, Arsenal will host Real Madrid at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow at midnight (00:00). This is the first official competitive meeting between the two sides. Their only previous encounter came in a 2019 International Champions Cup match, which Real Madrid won via penalty shootout.

Arsenal will be missing key players: Riccardo Calafiori (knee injury), Gabriel Magalhães, and Takehiro Tomiyasu (both with thigh muscle injuries). Expected return dates are April 21, May 26, and June 1 respectively.

For Real Madrid, goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, defender Ferland Mendy, and midfielder Dani Ceballos are all ruled out due to injuries. They are expected back by April 17.
