Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has shared his thoughts on Xabi Alonso's departure as head coach of the Madrid club. According to him, managing the team in the Spanish capital is one of the most difficult tasks in the world. This was reported by Vesti.kz xabar.
Kroos emphasized that at Real Madrid, even when winning, fans and management can remain dissatisfied. A coach is not given enough time to build their own project and shape the team, as results are demanded immediately.
“Xabi Alonso's resignation? The hardest thing is managing Real Madrid.
You can win, but people will still be unhappy. You have very little time to build your own project.
It is impossible to think that in a year, the team will play the way you want,” said Kroos.
As a reminder, Xabi Alonso took charge of the team last summer but left his position in January of this year. Currently, the team is being coached by Alvaro Arbeloa.
Toni Kroos played for the Madrid side from 2014 to 2024, winning 22 trophies.
