At a press conference with journalists, Flick responded to criticism that Barcelona is conceding too many goals and taking risks in defense:

— It's true that many people accuse our team of taking risks. I've seen reports about this in the German media as well. But if we look at other clubs, especially our main rival Real Madrid, they also concede a lot of goals. There's not a big difference between us and them in this regard. However, we've scored more goals than them. Isn't that the most important thing?

Maybe our style of play is really dangerous and a bit risky. But I like the passion my players show on the field, their approach to the game. It's very important for us to show that our team is well-formed, strong and united in the game, - said Flick.
