
Over the past four days, a sports festival filled with physical strength, determination, and heart — the “Tashkent Cadet and Junior Asian Cup” — was held in Tashkent. This prestigious tournament featured competitions among juniors and cadets and was dedicated to the memory of legendary judoka Uchkunn Muradov.
The magnificent “Alpomish” arena gathered not only athletes but also thousands of fans, once again demonstrating national pride. In the second half of the tournament, the junior competitions concluded, captivating everyone with intense rivalry.
Uzbekistan — absolute leader on the tatami!
Like the cadets, our junior national team also earned great success, securing first place in the team rankings. Our athletes won 9 gold, 9 silver, and 14 bronze medals — a total of 32! This achievement is not just statistics, but a bright example of honorably representing the homeland.
Competition on the tatami — unity in friendship
The Kyrgyzstan team took second place with 3 gold and 1 silver medal. Tajikistan’s judokas earned medals of every color and finished in the top three.
Athletes who competed under the International Judo Federation (IJF) flag also contributed: 1 gold and 1 bronze. Judokas from Kazakhstan, Georgia, India, and the Islamic Republic of Iran also showed strong performances and won a number of medals.
The spirit of Uchkunn Muradov lived again on the tatami
The competition, associated with the name of Uchkunn Muradov, carried not only sporting but also spiritual meaning. Young judokas following in his footsteps showcased their skills on the tatami with pride, responsibility, and the determination to raise the national flag high.
In conclusion: the “Tashkent Cadet and Junior Asian Cup” was remembered not only for the medals but also as a celebration of sports that discovered new stars.
