One of Saudi Arabia’s most active and financially powerful clubs, Al Hilal, is about to add another strong player to its ranks. This time, it is the main defender of the European giant Milan, Theo Hernandez.
According to close sources, negotiations between the clubs are almost complete, and the total cost of the transfer is 35 million euros — 30 million euros immediately and 5 million euros as bonuses. Theo is signing a 3-year contract with Al Hilal, and his annual salary will be 30 million euros. This could become not only the highest salary of the player’s career, but also one of the biggest for defenders in the League.
The experienced French defender played 49 official matches for Milan last season, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists. His consistent performance and active attacking play made him one of the main weapons of the Rossoneri.
Theo Hernandez’s contract with Milan was supposed to end in the summer of 2025. However, the high salary offer from the Saudi club and Milan’s desire not to miss the opportunity to profit from the transfer accelerated the deal.
In this way, Al Hilal once again demonstrates its serious ambitions. Considering that the club’s squad already includes stars such as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Kalidou Koulibaly, and Ruben Neves, the arrival of Theo Hernandez will make the team even more balanced and dangerous.
Analysts at Zamin.uz note that the Saudi League is becoming more notable year by year, not only commercially, but also from a sporting point of view, by attracting world stars. Theo Hernandez’s transfer is undoubtedly another major step in this process. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
