The Super League clash in Qarshi — the match between "Nasaf" and "Pakhtakor", which ended in a dramatic 2:2 draw — was followed by a press conference where the visiting team's coach, Kamoliddin Tojiev, shared several important opinions.
According to him, the team came into the match with serious problems, especially signs of fatigue in the players' psychological and physical condition were noticeable.
— "We didn't start the first half well, the opponent took the initiative. The guys felt tired and struggled to get into the game. In the second half, however, the changes brought the expected result, and we took control. We even created chances to win," said Tojiev.
Internal atmosphere in the team and transfer plans
Tojiev emphasized that work is being done to solve the psychological issues within the team, and positive changes are already visible.
— "The players are trying to act together. Mutual help and trust are growing. This is a great success for us. In summer, we are working to strengthen the squad and add new players," the coach clarified.
Why was Sergeev substituted? The coach responds
The substitution of main striker Igor Sergeev did not go unnoticed. Tojiev also explained this issue:
— "Since I joined the team, Sergeev has played almost every game without being substituted. He is not made of iron; of course, he feels tired. We wanted to protect him and bring fresh energy to the attack," he said.
Conclusion: clear plans, work ahead
The "Pakhtakor" coach noted that the team is now going through a testing period, but the players' serious efforts and improvements in the internal atmosphere give confidence for the future.
The season continues, and club fans hope to see an even more combative and strong "Pakhtakor". Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
