Di María returns to Argentina after 18 years
Argentine winger Ángel Di María has returned to his homeland and will now play for Rosario Central, Euro-football.ru reported.

The 37-year-old footballer played for Portugal’s Benfica until the end of June but left the club as a free agent after his contract expired. In a social media post, Di María said he is ending the European stage of his career and returning home.

He noted that over the past 18 years, he lived in beautiful cities and played for amazing clubs. During that time, he faced many challenges and setbacks, which helped shape him into the strong player he is today.

Di María expressed gratitude to every club he played for — Benfica, Real Madrid, Manchester United, PSG, and Juventus — for helping him grow both personally and professionally. He recalled the wonderful people and friendships at each club and said he will never forget them.

Although he scored in his last game for Benfica, the team lost 1–4 to Chelsea. As a result, he has now decided to continue his career in his home country.
