Diogo Jota dies in car crash in Spain
Liverpool footballer Diogo Jota has died in a car accident in Spain, Nova24.uz reported.

According to reports, the accident occurred at the 65th kilometer of the A-52 highway, near the municipality of Palacios de Sanabria in the province of Zamora, western Spain.

Eyewitnesses who called emergency services stated that the vehicle carrying the 28-year-old Portuguese forward veered off the road and caught fire. The flames also spread to nearby vegetation.

At the time of the incident, Jota was in the car with his 26-year-old brother André, who was also a professional footballer playing for Portuguese club Penafiel.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
