The head coach of Uzbekistan’s women’s national team, Kotrina Kulbite, shared her thoughts after the match against Nepal and gave a clear statement about the team’s future plans. According to her, this time, success on the field was not achieved easily, as the turning point of the match was connected with a red card, reports championat.asia.
Kulbite about the match: “We started the match very well, our team acted in its own style. However, the sending off in the first half changed all our plans. Honestly, I am not satisfied with my team’s game. In the second half, we showed the worst performance. Nevertheless, we achieved our goal — we secured the qualification. This result is a huge achievement for women’s football.”
The coach also spoke about the preparation plans for the upcoming Asian Championship. According to Kotrina Kulbite, the group task was completed, and now it’s the right time to celebrate the historic result. “Today we will celebrate this important result with the team. At the same time, we have discussed future plans with the management. Until the New Year, we will hold a number of official and unofficial training camps, friendly matches, and various tournaments. The local league will end in November. Until March, we need to develop a proper and thorough preparation plan. I believe that the Uzbekistan Football Association (UFA) will provide us with all necessary opportunities and conditions,” she added.
It should be noted that this result shows that a new stage has begun in women’s football in Uzbekistan. Fans are expecting even greater achievements from the national team’s players and coaches. In the future, international friendlies and small tournaments will play a significant role in the team’s preparations.
Today, the team members are celebrating this historic result, fully aware that even greater goals and new challenges lie ahead, and they are stepping into the future with confidence and motivation.
