Liverpool’s Head Coach: Wirtz Is A Long-Term Project

Head coach of England’s famous club Liverpool, Arne Slot, has shared his thoughts on the newly signed young and talented player Florian Wirtz and the club’s transfer strategy. According to him, Liverpool is not just acting for the current season, but is working with solid plans for the future.

“Yes, our recent actions clearly show how far Liverpool has come. We are no longer thinking superficially like ‘let’s just buy a midfielder.’ Now our goal is to attract young, talented, and versatile players who can perform in multiple roles. This is a long-term and sustainable project,” said Arne Slot.

According to the coach, the club doesn’t just look to fill immediate needs. Instead, it focuses on players who can bring growth and fresh energy to the team. “We scout players with high potential who can add vitality to the team. Then we do our best to bring them in. We had a great dialogue with Florian and he trusted us. We believed he belonged here,” he added.

Reportedly, Liverpool signed Wirtz from Germany’s Bayer for €125 million (approximately 1.7 trillion Uzbek soums). This transfer once again confirms the club’s big ambitions.
