Opinions of Russian footballers and experts about Abbosbek Fayzullaev...

Ahead of the new season, football fans’ attention is drawn to the new member of Istanbul Başakşehir, the young and talented attacking player of the Uzbekistan national team, Abbosbek Fayzullaev. Especially for those who followed the Russian championship, Fayzullaev's departure from CSKA remains one of the most relevant topics.

Many experts and coaches evaluate Abbos's departure from the Moscow club differently. For example, Zenit’s head coach Sergey Semak says: “Recently, Abbos has been getting into the starting lineup less and less, and could not establish himself among the players shaping the playing scheme at CSKA. This is related to the tactical scheme introduced by Marko Nikolic. Unfortunately, Fayzullaev did not fully fit into this scheme, so his minutes on the field decreased and he decided to move to another club. Nevertheless, he left a very pleasant impression during his career in Russia. I wish him good luck and new achievements in his new team.”

Famous specialist Sergey Kiryakov expresses the following opinion: “The departure of Abbosbek Fayzullaev and Willian Rocha will have a negative impact on CSKA. No matter how talented the young players coming from Latin America are, they are not given enough time to adapt. For CSKA, this is not the future; the team seems to be no longer striving for serious results. The fans have missed fighting for the championship, but key players are leaving and new coaches are coming. Still, we hope the team will soon show strong performances again.”

One of the team leaders, the famous goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, humorously commented: “He taught us to eat pilaf, and then he flew away. Abbos, good luck!”

CSKA player Milan Gajić, with the sincerity characteristic of a true legionnaire, sent his wishes: “Abbos parted ways with us beautifully. I wish him good luck in his new team. He is not only a good person but also a talented footballer who can make his mark on the field. I am sure Fayzullaev will be able to show his potential in Turkey and perform well in major tournaments.”

For your information, Abbosbek Fayzullaev came to CSKA from Pakhtakor in August 2023. Over two seasons, he played 72 official matches for the Moscow team, scored 8 goals, and provided 22 assists. Fayzullaev is a bronze medalist of the Russian championship, a winner of the national cup and super cup, and was recognized as Asia’s best young footballer.

Having left CSKA and moved to Turkey, Fayzullaev is striving to justify the trust of fans and achieve new successes in his new team. We wish him good luck and inspiration in the new season!
