The striker of the Uzbek national team announced three weeks ago that he would leave CSKA and move to the Turkish team Istanbul Basaksehir.
Several sources reported that the Super League club would pay the 21-year-old legionnaire a one-time fee of 7.5 million euros, with a further 2.5 million euros in bonuses depending on the player's performance.
Uzbek football fans have become particularly interested in this club, as Istanbul Basaksehir acquired the captain and top scorer of our national team, Eldor Shomurodov, before Fayzullaev.
Although Abbasbek Fayzullaev has been training with his new team for a long time, our legionnaire has not been included in the official match roster.
Later, the head coach of “Basaksehir” Chagdash Atan revealed that Fayzullaev showed great potential in training, but he could not use the player’s services because he had not received a transfer certificate from CSKA, and that the sanctions imposed on Russia due to the political situation were preventing the transfer of money.
In turn, CSKA officials also stressed that the clubs are in constant contact within the framework of Fayzullaev’s transfer and that there will be news soon.
Vanihoyat, this good news has been spread. The amount of money allocated by “Basaksehir” for the Uzbek player has been credited to the account of the Moscow club. This was reported by CSKA’s communications director Kirill Breido.
- The money intended for the transfer of Abbasbek Fayzullaev has been credited to our club’s account in the amount specified in the contract. On our part, the player’s transfer certificate was immediately sent. Now we can say that this transaction has been fully completed.
This transfer was a unique transaction, taking into account the emergence of unforeseen circumstances and the desire of clubs to help each other.
We would like to thank Istanbul Basaksehir, as well as German Tkachenko, who made every effort to resolve the issue of Fayzullaev's arrival at CSKA on favorable terms, and now his transfer to the Turkish club, and demonstrated his professionalism.
This transfer should be considered beneficial for all parties. We wish Abbas all the best! - said Kirill Breido.
Istanbul Basaksehir has played four games in the UEFA Conference League and one in the Super League so far in the new season. Eldor Shomurodov has played in all of these games, while Abbasbek Fayzullaev was not included in the roster.
Now the transfer is fully formalized. Abbasbek Fayzullaev is expected to make his debut for his new team on August 21. On this date, Istanbul Basaksehir will play their first match in the Conference League play-off round against Universitatea Craiova of Romania. The first leg will be held in Istanbul, with the return leg taking place on August 28 at the opponent's home ground.
