In the Swiss city of Lausanne, the next stage of the Diamond League, one of the most prestigious and famous tournaments in the world of athletics, took place. This tournament is recognized as the arena where the most talented athletes in the world compete throughout the year. It is delightful that our compatriot Anvar Anvarov amazed all the fans with his outstanding performance and won the gold medal.
Our fellow countryman successfully jumped 7.84 meters, leaving all competitors behind. The second place was taken by the talented athlete of the host country, Simon Ehammer (7.72 meters), while the bronze medal went to the Jamaican 2019 world champion, Tejay Gayle (7.71 meters). Therefore, the competition was not only competitive but also very exciting.
Thus, Anvar Anvarov became the second Uzbek athlete after Safina Sadullaeva to win at the Diamond League tournaments. This is not only a major achievement in his personal career but also a source of pride for all athletes of our country.
