One of the important teams of the English championship, Everton, is seriously determined to strengthen its defensive line in the summer transfer window. The Merseyside club is showing interest in the transfer of experienced Manchester City defender Nathan Aké. This was reported by the newspaper “Daily Mail.”
According to sources, the Toffees are already looking for ways to reinforce their defense, and the candidacy of the 30-year-old Dutch footballer is considered the main option. Specialists estimate Aké’s transfer value at around 25 million euros. If the deal is completed, Everton’s defense will be strengthened by an experienced and reliable player.
Nathan Aké currently has a contract with Manchester City until June 2027. His career path is also quite rich: previously the footballer played for Bournemouth, Chelsea, Reading, and Watford.
It should be noted that Aké participated in 10 matches in the English Premier League last season. His contribution to the team was often seen in providing stability in defense.
For the fans, the main intriguing question is: will Everton’s management be able to complete this transfer and bring Aké into their squad, or will this idea remain only at the discussion stage? Clarity on this issue is expected in the coming days.
