Barcelona’s head specialist Hansi Flick was recognized as “Coach of the Year” by Germany’s reputable outlet “Sport Bild.” The award ceremony was held at the historic Fischauktionshalle complex in Hamburg, with close to 600 guests in attendance — an evening at the center of attention of the football world and the mass media.
Flick joined the ceremony online from Spain and delivered a short but meaningful speech. He first focused on the responsibility of being a head coach and said: “As a head coach you always stand in the front ranks: sometimes you hear criticism, and sometimes praise. I believe in my working style, but to achieve stable results at a high level you must have a strong coaching staff next to you. At Barcelona I have exactly such a team.
