In the 1/4 finals of the Uzbekistan Cup, the match between "Dinamo" and "Shurtan" ended with a 3:0 score in favor of the Samarkand team. After the match, "Shurtan" head coach Eldor Moiliev spoke at the press conference about his team’s performance.
Game analysis
— We started the match well, created two good chances at the beginning. However, we could not use them. "Dinamo" scored twice from set-pieces and took the advantage. Right after that, the game became difficult for us and went backwards. The second half was completely under the control of the opponent. Honestly, today’s game was one of our weakest, — said Moiliev.
Difference between Cup and Super League
— Our team always shows a competitive game in the Super League. But in today’s match we could not show ourselves at all. Of course, the Cup and the Super League are two different tournaments. We prepared seriously for the Cup match, but the two conceded goals broke us mentally. In addition, we lost in all one-on-one situations. In this regard, it was clear that "Dinamo" was better prepared, — emphasized the coach.
About the desire for victory
— We entered the field aiming for victory. If we had won, we would have been one of the four strongest teams in the semifinals. Everyone understood this well. But unfortunately, the result was not as we expected. "Dinamo" turned out stronger in every aspect, — concluded Moiliev.
According to the specialist, this defeat will serve as a big lesson for "Shurtan". The fans, meanwhile, are eagerly waiting to see how the team will recover in the upcoming Super League matches.
