A major event in Turkish football is the arrival of renowned German midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan at the Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The 34-year-old experienced player signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2027. Galatasaray has officially announced that Manchester City has released Ilkay as a free agent. Under the terms of the new contract, Gündoğan will earn approximately €4.5 million annually in Istanbul after taxes are lifted.
Gundogan's career with "City" lasted many years in two stages (2016-2023 and 2024-2025). During this time, he won 14 trophies with the team. Among them, five Premier League titles and one Champions League victory are particularly noteworthy.
