Italy national team's main goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, shared his thoughts on his move to Manchester City. As previously reported, he left French club PSG to join the Citizens.
In his words, the goalkeeper noted that he accepted this decision with great excitement and satisfaction:
"Joining Man City was a dream for me. Because they were eager to see me in the team. I was especially inspired by Pep Guardiola's desire. Playing for such a prestigious club is a great honor. To tell the truth, I feel happy.
In a conversation with the PSG president, I asked if I could get permission to sign a contract, and luck was on my side. So, I'm at peace: if a team like Man City is looking for you and wants to see you in their ranks, that's recognition of your work. When a coach like Guardiola trusts you, it's hard to put it into words," said Donnarumma.
For information, Manchester City acquired the goalkeeper from PSG for €30 million. The agreement between the parties is enshrined in a treaty valid until 2030.
