The Uzbekistan U-17 team learned an important lesson from the match against England

The Uzbekistan youth national team continues its preparations for the World Cup in Spain. In the first friendly match of this training camp, our representatives played against the England U-17 team and lost with a score of 1:3.

Following the results of the match, the head coach of Uzbekistan U-17 Islombek Ismailov shared the results of the game. According to him, this match served as a great experience for our teenagers.

- Regardless of the age category, England always plays as one of the world's leading national teams. They were far ahead of us in pressing, speed, and ball handling. Nevertheless, my guys didn't give up fighting until the last minute. In some cases, we created good combinations, managed to maintain control of the ball, and launched attacks. But there are also mistakes, especially in the exit from the pressing and the defensive line. It's clear that even a small mistake against an opponent of this caliber can lead to significant consequences. I'm also satisfied with the overall performance of my players. "The main thing is that they strived to play attacking football, regardless of who the opponent was," said the coach.

For information, our juniors will play their next match during the training camp on September 6th against the Canada U-17 team.
