Our compatriot Altynai Sotimbaeva entered the ring at the World Championships among adults, which are currently underway in Liverpool, England. This time she took on the Indian representative Nupur in the +80 kg weight category.
The fight was intense and uncompromising for three rounds. Both athletes tried to show their skills without sparing their strength until the end. Altynai Sotimbaeva also delivered several effective blows, putting her opponent in a difficult situation. However, the Indian athlete managed to turn the fight in her favor.
By unanimous decision of the judges, Nupur was recognized as the winner on points. Thus, our representative stopped her progress in the competition.
It should be noted that a number of our national team members are still participating in the World Championships in Liverpool. Some of them have already qualified for the quarterfinals and are defending the honor of our country.
Fans are wishing our compatriots good luck in the next round. Despite Altynai's defeat, her fighting spirit and determination were widely applauded.
