Following the So'g'diyona vs. OKMK (4:1) match in the 21st round of the Super League, the hosts' head coach, Ivan Boshkovich, shared his thoughts at a press conference.
- As a coach, I'm happy with the result after the victory. In the first half, we prevailed over the opponent in all aspects of football. We played very well, and control was entirely in our hands. In the second half, OKMK was expected to move more forward. They added many of their players to the attack. "This created a great opportunity for us in counterattacks, and we took advantage of it and managed to punish the opponent," said the coach.
At the same time, Boshkovich emphasized that he drew a big lesson from his previous losses in such matches:
- Previously, in such disputes, we lost our chances. But this time, the team and I learned a big lesson. The level of skill of the players in the squad and internal competition allow us to conduct such games more easily. I sincerely congratulate my football players and fans. Today we were shown a real combat game. "This is just the beginning of the road, the team and the club continue to grow," the Serbian specialist noted.
According to the coach, today's victory was valuable not only for the result, but also for the team's strong performance:
- We expected to win such games by a large margin in the first round. Such games should now become the standard for us. Along with today's victory, I was delighted to see my team emerge on the field in a fighting spirit. Now we must defeat our next opponents and rise to the top of the tournament table. "Our qualities are worthy of this," said Boshkovich.
