Zoir Juraboev on the verge of signing with a German club

Tajikistan national team and “Sogdiana” defender Zoir Juraboev may soon continue his career in Europe. According to Goal.tj, the 27-year-old footballer has received an official offer from the German Second Bundesliga club “Holstein Kiel.”

Sources report that negotiations between the parties are currently ongoing. The player’s agents and the German club are discussing the terms of the contract. If the deal goes through, Juraboev will sign a “2+1” contract — two main years plus an optional one-year extension.

The contract is expected to take effect at the beginning of 2026. Until then, the player will finish the current season with “Sogdiana” before heading to Germany.

For reference, Juraboev has been one of the key figures in Sogdiana’s defense this season, performing consistently in both domestic and international competitions.

According to German media, “Holstein” plans to strengthen its defensive line during the winter transfer window, and Juraboev is among the club’s top targets.

The move to Europe could mark a new chapter in the Tajik defender’s career. Local experts say the transfer is significant not only for the player himself but also for regional football, as opportunities for Central Asian players in Europe continue to grow.

Juraboev’s current deal with “Sogdiana” expires at the end of the season. If finalized, he will join his new German team at the beginning of the new year.
