Uzbekistan's karate athletes won 8 spots to the World Championship.

The Uzbekistan national karate team will take part in the World Championship, which will be held in Cairo this November.

The tournament is one of the most prestigious events in the karate world and takes place once every two years. This year, eight athletes will represent the country.

According to the report, seven athletes earned direct qualification based on world rankings, while Sevinch Rahimova was selected among karatekas from 105 countries and earned the right to compete at the championship.

The Uzbekistan team managed to obtain licenses in 8 out of 12 weight categories. With this achievement, the national team ranks among the top 10 in the world and the top 5 in Asia, while remaining the undisputed leader in Central Asia.

The list of athletes participating in the World Championship is as follows:

  2. Sevinch Rahimova – (-55 kg)

  3. Sevinch Otaboeva – (-61 kg)

  4. Mohlaroyim Hakimjonova – (+68 kg)

  5. Mehriddin Turakhonov – (-60 kg)

  6. Abdulhvahob Rashidov – (-67 kg)

  7. Kuvonchbek Muhammadiev – (-75 kg)

  8. Shukhratjon Namozov – (-84 kg)

According to the coaching staff, the athletes have completed their training camps in Karshi and Tashkent and are now focused on maintaining peak condition before the tournament in Cairo.

The main goal of Uzbekistan’s karate athletes at the World Championship is not only to fight for medals but also to improve their positions in the Olympic ranking.

Over the past few years, Uzbekistan’s national karate team has become one of the strongest in the world, and the Cairo championship is expected to further solidify this status.
