UFC 322: Maddalena's coach evaluates the fight against Makhachev

UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena's head coach, Ben Viskers, commented on the upcoming fight with Russian Islam Makhachev. According to him, this clash could be "much more comfortable" in terms of style compared to a possible fight with Belal Mohammed.

"I like this fight. Islam operates in a much more classical style - it's easier to observe what it does. And in the battle with Belal, this was unpredictable. Of course, Makhachev has a smaller body, but he doesn't have any problems with weight loss. At the same time, it is difficult to say how not losing weight will affect his endurance. This will be a new test for Islam," Viskers said in an interview with South Cross.

The coach emphasized that while Makhachev's winning streak in previous years makes him the favorite, Della Maddalena is preparing thoroughly for this match.

"We are well aware of the opponent's strengths, but a response has been prepared for each advantage. For Jack, this opportunity will be a test to prove himself as the strongest fighter in the world," Viskers added.

As a reminder, the bout between Islam Makhachev and Jack Della Maddalena will take place on November 16th at UFC 322 in Las Vegas, USA. This fight sparked particular interest among fans, as it marked Makhachev's first appearance in the welterweight division.
