One of the important matches in France Ligue 1 took place between "Lens" and "Marseille". Having continued their winning streak in the last matches, this time "Marseille" were guests of "Lens".
The game became interesting with a scored goal in the 17th minute: Mason Greenwood fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area and put the visitors ahead. But not long after, in the 23rd minute, Benjamin Pavard committed a foul against Odson Edouard and the referee awarded a penalty.
Edouard successfully converted the 11-meter penalty and equalized the score. In the second half, in the 53rd minute, Pavard again turned into an unfortunate protagonist.
After a corner kick, he directed the ball into his own net. This goal put "Lens" in front.
In the final minutes of the match, Mamadou Sangare had the chance to increase the score, but "Marseille"'s goalkeeper managed to make a brilliant save. This victory allowed the "Lens" team to rise to second place in the Ligue 1 standings with 19 points.
