
Velko Paunović has become the new head coach of the Serbia national team. This was reported by MaxBet Sport.
Previously, the Serbia national team was managed by Dragan Stojković. Under his leadership, the team failed in the last two major tournaments.
In addition, the team lost 0:1 to Albania in an important qualifying match for the 2026 World Cup. The 48-year-old Velko Paunović most recently worked for Spain's Real Oviedo club, with which he achieved promotion from Segunda to Primera.
