The International Football Federation - FIFPro has announced a symbolic team consisting of the strongest players of 2025.
Thousands of professional football players from around the world participated in this competition, which is considered one of the most prestigious traditional polls of the year. Through their votes, they selected candidates who played at the highest level throughout the year, made a decisive contribution to their team, and clearly stood out in the competitions.
There were a total of 26 players on the shortlist, but only 11 managed to get into the symbolic team of the year.
Goalkeeper:
- Gianluigi Donnarumma (PSG/Manchester City, Italy) - recognized not only as a master but also as the most reliable goalkeeper of the current generation. His consistent performances and saves throughout the season played an important role in the success of both PSG and the Italian national team.
Line of defense:
- Virgil van Dijk ("Liverpool," Netherlands) - again among the elite with experience and leadership qualities.
- Ashraf Hakimi (PSG, Morocco) - distinguished by his quick transition from defense to attack and assisting passes.
- Nuno Mendes (PSG, Portugal) - despite his young age, became the main support in the team's defense.
In the center of midfield:
- Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid, England) is undoubtedly the most influential midfielder of the year. He became a leader in his first season at the Madrid club, securing victories.
- Cole Palmer ("Chelsea," England) - a prominent representative of the new generation. His numerous decisive goals and accurate passes were of great importance to Chelsea.
- Pedri (Barcelona, Spain) - the "brain" of the team - controlled the game.
- Vitinha (PSG, Portugal) - played an important role in the central role of the Parisian club and was recognized as one of the most stable midfielders of the season.
Line of attack:
- Usman Dembele (PSG, France) - one of the most influential wing-backs of the year. His speed and dribbling skills caused problems for many opponents.
- Kylian Mbappé (Real Madrid, France) has been recognized as the main star of the FIFPro national team. In his very first season joining his team, he again demonstrated his power on the world football stage with a series of goals.
- Lamin Yamal ("Barcelona," Spain) - despite being only 18 years old, demonstrated great potential at the elite level and, despite his young age, managed to get into the symbolic national team of the year.
Thus, the FIFPro 2025 symbolic team brought together the strongest and most influential players in today's football. Many experts called this composition a "harmony of young stars of the future with experienced leaders."
PSG, Real Madrid, and Barcelona dominated the squad, once again demonstrating the dominance of European giants.
And the fans think: if these players played in the same team, no one would be able to stop that team.
