French national team and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Dezire Doué was recognized as the best young player in Europe in 2025. This was reported by the influential Italian publication Tuttosport.
According to the organizers, the 20-year-old French footballer has become a real sensation in the last season. He won a number of tournaments with PSG, becoming one of the leading players among the younger generation not only in France, but throughout Europe.
"This year has been a phenomenal season for Dezire Due. On the field, he demonstrated not only results, but also character and leadership qualities. Thus, PSG played a crucial role in winning the Champions League for the first time in history," the award organizers' statement said.
As a reminder, last year this award went to Barcelona winger Lamin Yamal.
During the 2024/25 season, Dezire Due made a total of 61 appearances in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and providing the same number of assists. This indicator is surprisingly high for his age.
The young footballer played a key role in PSG's historic European breakthrough - winning the Champions League. He also won the French championship and the Super Cup with his team.
Experts believe that Desire Duet's achievement this year could place him among the players who could compete for the Ballon d'Or in the upcoming seasons. French journalists, however, argue that he could become PSG's new symbol in the future.
