
The 12th round match between the French championship outsiders "Angers" and "Auxerre" went as expected - intense. Until the 68th minute, there were no significant dangerous situations.
An "Angers" player Amin Sbaidi's controversial fall didn’t result in a penalty, and he was warned for a dive. Three minutes later, as a result of "Angers'" rapid attack, Klement Akpa scored an own goal - 1:0.
"Auxerre" player Denni Namaso's powerful long-range shot was stopped by the crossbar. In the 87th minute, the visitors’ goalkeeper Aruna Jibirin managed to stop an attack after striking outside the penalty area. However, Peter Prosper directed the ball into the goal, bringing the score to 2:0.
Thanks to this victory, "Angers" climbed to 13th place, while "Auxerre" remained at the bottom of the standings.
