Netherlands national team head coach Ronald Koeman has compared "AZ Alkmaar" midfielder Kes Smit to "Barcelona" star Pedri. The 19-year-old midfielder currently plays for "AZ Alkmaar" and the Netherlands U-21 national team.
According to various rumors, several prominent European clubs are showing interest in Smit. "I need to be cautious with my words, but I have coached Pedri during my time at 'Barcelona' and see many similarities between him and Smit.
His ability to change direction, play with both feet, and his vision on the field are qualities they share. If Kes can achieve even half of Pedri’s success, we will all be very happy," Koeman stated.
