Beyeev: Conceding a Goal at the End Is Painful

Russian national team defender Mingiyan Beyeev shared his thoughts with "Match TV" after the game against Peru. - Can you share your impressions of the game?

Why was it difficult to secure a victory? - I think we could have finished the game earlier by converting our chances into goals.

We had good attacks in the second half as well, but we lacked the finishing touch in the final stages. That was probably the issue.

However, conceding a goal at the end was, of course, very painful. There was very little time left, but the risk was still there.

- We know that before the game, Andrey Viktorovich Talalayev approached you at the stadium and had a conversation. Did he give you any additional instructions for the game?

- No, he just wished us good luck and said he wouldn't disturb us, and then he left.
