Deschamps Highlights Mbappé's Role in World Cup Qualification

The head coach of the France national team, Didier Deschamps, acknowledged the significant contribution of Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappé in securing an early qualification for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup. In yesterday's match, the forward scored two goals against the Ukraine national team.

The 4–0 victory placed the French national team at an unreachable position for their rivals in Group D. "The French national team is always stronger when Mbappé is in the lineup.

Kylian makes accomplishing our tasks much easier," Deschamps said in an interview with UEFA's press service. The coach also added that Mbappé is currently deserving of the captain's armband.
