The 1/16 finals of the ongoing World Junior Championship in Qatar have concluded, and these matches have caused great controversy in the football world. In particular, the unexpectedly early exit of the reigning champions Germany from the competition amazed all the fans. The Burkina Faso youth team, which has once again proven that African football is on the rise, left the Germans both impressed and out of the competition with a goal in the 5th minute.
Among the representatives of the Asian continent, only the guys from Uzbekistan, Japan, and North Korea successfully passed the playoff stage. South Korea withdrew from the tournament after conceding two goals, although they were motivated in the match against England. This result means that competition among Asians has intensified.
