Matvey Safonov Unlikely to Return to RPL


Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov may leave PSG if offers from other clubs emerge. Football agent Paulo Barbosa shared his thoughts on the matter.

According to the agent, if Safonov decides to leave PSG, there will be significant demand for him in Europe. He could transfer to clubs in France, Italy, or Spain.

"There is no need for him to return to the Russian Premier League," said Barbosa. This season, Safonov has yet to appear in any official matches for PSG.

In the summer of 2024, Matvey transferred from Krasnodar to PSG for 20 million euros. His contract with the French club runs until the summer of 2029.
