Sofonov Comments on Matches Against Russia and Peru

Russian and PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov commented on the goal conceded against the Peruvian national team during the recent BetBoom friendly match. The match ended with a 1-1 draw.

"I was upset for several days. You concede such goals and realize that you could have played better.

I should have played better. I am grateful for the trust shown by the national team, which makes it all the more disappointing that I couldn’t deliver my best performance," Safonov wrote on his social media page.

Notably, Safonov has not appeared in any official matches for PSG this season. The goalkeeper's contract with the reigning French champions is set to expire in the summer of 2029.
