Athletes of Uzbekistan worthily finished yesterday in Riyadh: 13 medals

Yesterday's day at the Riyadh-2025 Islamic Solidarity Games was a true moment of progress for the Uzbekistan delegation. Our young and experienced athletes, having won a total of 13 medals in one day, have further strengthened our position in the overall team ranking.

Throughout the day, our athletes demonstrated full dedication, a strong character, and the fruits of their tireless work together with the coaches. Victories in each area gave our delegation new spirit and strength.

Gold medals - a symbol of high skill

Our compatriots won gold medals in five disciplines:

- Barnoxon Sayfullayeva showed unprecedented stability in the high jump, surpassing her opponents.

- Diyorbek Tukhliboev won in taekwondo WT in the -67 kg weight category with technical and quick shots.

- Marat Mavlonov in the +82 kg weight category, with a fighting spirit, turned the final in his favor.

- Meirkhan Timurov won the championship in épée with excellent defense and precise attacks.

- Nargiza Kuchkarova demonstrated the ideal combination of strength and technique in javelin throwing.

Silver medals - contests in which every chance is spent

Five of our athletes reached the final and, through worthy struggle, were awarded silver medals:

- Sukhrob Khodzhaev (hammer throw)

- Sharifa Davronova (triple jump)

- Javokhir Nurmatov (spaga)

- Gulistan Perdibayeva (sword)

- Svetlana Osipova (taekwondo WT, +70 kg)

Each of them earned the applause of fans for showing serious resistance to the opposing side in the final.

Bronze - another fruit of steady work

- Valeria Gorbatova (jump to employment)

- Ayubkhon Fayozov (hammer throw)

- Diyora Azizova (taekwondo -63 kg)

They also put in all their effort to reach the podium until the last minute and added important points to the delegation's treasury.

According to the NOC, our athletes aim to maintain the same stability in the remaining days of the competition and compete for more medals.

The debates in Riyadh have reached their peak. And the fans expect new championships in the coming days - our representatives have already shown that they are ready to justify this trust.
